Christmas Over, Let’s Get You Back on Track with Your Health Goals

We are fast approaching end of the year and many of us need to think about our health and getting back on track after all those goodies we had over the holidays….

I love Christmas, but it should come with a health warning….  You eat and eat and eat, all the wrong foods, and seemingly with no limit at all.

I love food, I love Cheese, I love wine…. all these things are not great for keeping my figure on point, so starting January its got to go…..

I will be starting January 2nd with a 5 day detox and 30 day healthy eating and exercising regime.

Here are a few things I am doing to help me get on track, I hope it helps you too…

  • Cut out sweets and chocolate
  • Reduce Alcohol intake to one glass a day….
  • Drink more water
  • Start on a one smoothie a day habit
  • Walk at least 3 miles a day minimum or exercise 30 minutes a day for 3 days of the week

Watch out for more great health tips to get you back on track, check back tomorrow!

Go Follow Your Bliss

Scared of making a decision to do something?  So many people are scared of change, but at the same time are not happy where they are in life.  They hesitate, procrastinate or just give up on their dreams.

What I have found is that when you make a decision and follow it throught, then doors open, things happen.  But when you are indecisive, opportunities do still come up, but they quickly go away because you are indecisive.

Remember live your life by design not by  someone elses directions….

Great tip and advice today!

Take Back Your Power

Today I want to talk about taking back your power. What do I mean?

If you have felt that you are not being heard, not being listened to, being undermined by others, you do not hold your power within you.Instead you are letting them hold the power over you.

If you have spent your years looking after children, looking after the family and neglecting yourself, your ideas, your dreams you may find it difficult to express those dreams and ideas, feeling unable to assert them in a positive and beneficial way to your partner or friends.

As women, we go through so much in life, without realising our strengths. Times of lack, times of stress, times of pain, times of worry. We are the linchpin in most cases for a stable family home, or keeping some kind of sanity in the home especially for our children. We give them hope, courage, support. Even when we do not get this ourselves. Some of us are natural born nurturers others have to learn how to nurture. Most of us are compassionate and empathetic towards others. These are huge strengths.

It is only when you go through tough times, times of struggles that you realise, when you come out the other end how strong you really are. Real Women support each other, sisters support each other, find your tribe who will support you.

So what can you do to gain confidence!

It is not easy as a woman to build your confidence, you do need someone or others behind you to help build you up. Self help, self development books and videos and networking meetings are a great source of growing your confidence.

Share your story with like-minded people, there will be others out there with a similar story who you will attract. It’s important to find your tribe.

What is the tribe?

According to Collins dictionary The definition of a tribe is a group of people, or a community with similar values or interests, a group with a common ancestor, or a common leader.

For those that can relate to you, and you to them the relationship will yield great results.

So go out there and find someone who resonates with you, your values, and how you would like to be. Follow them on whatever platform they are on. Get in touch with them and asked them to Mentor you. Don’t be afraid, they were once in your position.

Do Something Out Of Your Comfort Zone

After watching the following video, I was inspired to write this blog post.  Too often we stay within our comfort zones, because it makes like easy.  If you want to make changes in your life, you need to step away from what you currently know and step into the unknown.

We make countless excuses, not enough time, don’t know what to do, where to start, haven’t got this, or that….

Stop….

Just don’t think about doing it, just go do it!

I have a few things on my ‘lived list’ and I have been stalling doing them, for whatever reason, but not any more…

Time is short and before you know it, your time here on earth is done, over, or something happens to your health and you are unable to achieve what you wanted to in good health….

I hope after watching this video, it encourages you to go out there are TRY the things you said you wanted to do, but for whatever reason you stopped yourself from doing….

Change From Within

19 years ago I was faced with a dilemma. My life changed dramatically. What Should’ve been a stable place called home was a place of chaos.

My marriage broke down, and I found myself alone, a single mother with two young boys aged five and 10. A house with a huge mortgage that was previously being maintained by two salaries, and lots of bills.

I could’ve given up there and then, but the fighter in me and the priding me would not allow it. I failed to give my boys a roof over their head, and the best in life that I could with what I had.

Was it easy? It sure wasn’t. There were times when I didn’t even know where the next meal was going to come from, or how I would get to work as I didn’t have enough money in my account. The term living from paycheque to pay check that’s no joke. This was my life!

The pride and stubbornness in me stopped me from asking for help where I knew I possibly could have especially from my parents.

I began to look for a way that I could replace the income that walked out of the door. This was the beginning of my network marketing journey. You see, when you are pushed tightly up against a wall you can either submit and giving, or you can fight and try and get around the wall, over the wall, or through the wall.

I stopped feeling sorry for myself and began fighting for my survival, for my sanity and for my kids. I vowed I would never be put in such a vulnerable position ever again.

My journey especially self development has been phenomenal, the support I received within this industry has made me go from strength to strength. Recognising my abilities, striving through my pain and sharing my struggles have not only helped me, but also helped others who were also going through difficult times in their lives.

Your past does not define you, your history does not define you, only you can make a change. But that change has to come from within you.

What is your reason to succeed, think about it because this will always drive you and push you and focus you to achieve.
