Ha, that’s impossible to get a lead who is not interested in your main product to turn around and purchase something else off you.  This is what I thought a year ago and virtually gave up on those leads where you call them and they say they are not interested in what you have to offer.  All that money you paid advertising your product or service, they managed to fill out a form but then don’t come through as customers or prospects.  So how can you sponsor dead end leads.

Most people do not like being ‘sold’ to, and let’s face it most MLMer’s or Network Marketers  have come across as ‘needy’ and ‘desperate’ in their sales pitch in order to try and obtain online business.  Take a step back will you!  Think about this carefully. If a person has taken the time to complete an online form requesting more information, that is just what they want ‘information’ that will help them make an informed decision.  They don’t want to be ‘sold’ anything at this point.  So don’t go in their heavy handed and sell them a million and one products or services.  THINK!  What is it that they want to achieve. What are they looking for and why, why now.   People respond better if questions are targeted about them and not about a product or service you can offer.

Getting your script right is really important. If you are not sure what you need to say, most network marketing companies have a standard script that you can base your call upon.  But try and personalise this to the way in which you would speak, make sure it is comfortable to you.  The scripts should be used as guides, not to be read out word for word.  That is the mistake of so many new people, and this just feels so ‘fake’ not only to yourself, but to the person on the other end of the call.  Look at what it is you are setting out to achieve on your call.  How you can approach it in a none salesy way?    Build a little rapport with the other person.  Find out about them first.  Then use the information you have just discovered to get them interacting with you.  You have to become a master marketer and understand the psychology of some of these leads, and then apply the art of handling objection to them. Adopt a strong stance and business approach, after all this is your business and you have to ensure that you are utilising your time effectively.  You haven’t got time for small talk, or trying to justify why someone should visit your website or to purchase your products.   They came to YOU, so a few simple questions to quantify if they have read through the website thoroughly or viewed the appropriate material should take priority, and if they haven’t then the priority is for them to go back and view the website again.   The last thing you want on your team is a very needy member, who takes up a lot of your valuable time, and who makes if difficult for you to spend time with those that really deserve your focus.  SO ensure that whoever you bring on your team, they are capable enough to work on their own initiative, after all it will be their own business they are working on.

Leave them your name and contact details, when you make that first contact, so that if they need more information they can come back to you at their leisure.  If you have to book follow ups, do this mutually and don’t try and force someone to get back on the phone with you the next day or two, only if they are ready and willing to do so.
