Book Review: THE POWER – Rhonda Bryne
Posted by: | CommentsIf you have heard of The Secret then you know about Rhonda Bryne and how she came about writing the book that has taken the world by storm. The Secret is about the knowledge out there in the universe that can help you achieve your goals and dreams consistently. It is about the realisation of the cause and effect of positive and negative thoughts and how they affect your life, health, relationships and wealth.
Well THE POWER is all about HOW you can apply the power of the secret to achieve your goals and dreams. The book has only just been released, but is already climbing the bestseller list. In my opinion this is a great follow up to The Secret. It is easy to read, the style in which it is written enables you to soak up the information pro offered. All you have to do is to take action to make it work.
It is a must read for personal development. It also helps positive thinking and changing your mindset to help you begin once again to dream your dreams.

Your Mind Is Your Limit!
Posted by: | CommentsTh only thing that stands between
you and what you want from life
is simply your will to try it and
the faith to believe that it is possible!
Your mind will amaze your body it
finds the energy and determination to keep going.
Keep telling yourself ‘you can do it, you can do it’
When you believe you can, you can!
In belief there is power
It opens your eyes, your vision becomes plain
your opportunities materialise into reality
You will succeed when you believe you can succeed,
The only limit to your realisation of tomorrow will
be your doubts of today!
Everything is possibly if you believe it is!
A short poem I wrote many years ago.
To your success!

Leadership Skills – All You Have To Do Is Find The Aces!
Posted by: | CommentsAre you struggling with recruiting quality leaders into your business? Maybe you need to look at how you are presenting yourself and your business. If you are just starting out and have a full time job and are working your home business part time, don’t get stuck in a part time mentality or hobby mentality. Your home business has the potential to become a six figure annual turnover or more. You just have to get into that mindset. If your current employer were interviewing, he would have a job description and be looking to recruit to that job position.
Likewise, for your home business if you are taking this anywhere near serious, do you even have any idea on the type of people you are looking for to join you and expand your company with you. The reason most home businesses fail is due to lack of recruiting leaders into their primary business.
Don’t feel you have to sign up just about anyone into your home business, be fussy with who you want. Treat your home business as if it were a million dollar empire. If you were running such an empire, you would want to be looking for the best. You would be looking for high quality leaders, people who are sure about themselves, what they want, where they want to be in the future, and the drive to get them there.
Now you may start out with ‘jokers’ who on the face of things look like they are going to be great leaders, but then a little further down the line they turn out to be just that’ jokers’, tire kickers. People who may drain your reserves if they become too needy, so you just got to keep going and keep turning over the cards, making those calls until you find the aces. Now in a pack of 52 cards you are only going to find 4 aces, but there is nothing stopping you turning over more than 52 cards, or adding more packs!
The odds of getting your aces quickly are 13/1. With those odds you need to phone or contact a fair number of people before finding a strong leader. Therefore finding a strong person with good leadership skills is worth the wait and appropriate screening to ensure you have the right person in your team, rather than signing up someone who happens to show some interest, but does not necessarily have the right level of commitment to working on starting up a home business.
So here’s the thing with the recession and the economy at an all time low, there are a lot of managerial type people, supervisors and business owners who are tired of the corporate world, and who want to look for a totally different lifestyle or business to get into. Let’s face it these people are used to leading others, managing and taking charge, making quick and complex decisions, and being committed to doing what it takes to become a success.
SO if you take enough time to find your aces, you can build a strong team of committed people who will look for like minded individuals to join their teams.

Motivation in A Slump – Anthony Robbins
Posted by: | CommentsGreat Video I came across on you tube today with Anthony Robbins on NBC’s Today SHow about how we can overcome our fears and motivate ourselves to success no matter the situation we come across.
It’s too easy to ignore things when we are in crises, but they only seem to get worse. Anthony Robbins talks about facing your fear and doing something about it. Let’s face it there is always someone, somewhere who is much worse off that you are. We just got to remember that sometimes.
Listen /watch the video below and leave me your comments… should be interesting!
Internet Home Business: It’s Easy TO do and Easy NOT to do
Posted by: | CommentsWhat am I talking about? Succeeding that’s what. Succeeding is something that you have to be consistent about, you need time to succeed and you need to have a plan and more importantly take action against that plan.
Far too often many who decide to work for themselves part time with the goal of eventually working full time do not have what it takes. Only a small percentage of them success whilst a large portion (over 97%) fail.
The difference between succeeding and failing is the DOING. Failures fail TO DO. Think about that, FAILURES FAIL TO DO.
Toy Story 3 And The Values It Taught Me
Posted by: | Comments
Everyone knows about Andy with his toys Buzz Lightyear and Woody and the potatoe heads along with others, who as a child he has numerous hours of imaginative enjoyment, making up adventures with each character as a child does.
Have you ever watched a child playing with their toys? They can take a range of toys and have an adventure and in their minds it is so real, no one else is in the room but these characters which are somehow bought to life with their vivid imagination. They have the toys character accent down to a ‘t’, whether they are good people or bad people, they change the tone of voice and the way the character interacts with others…. some imagination huh!
No matter what, children will always have a favourite toy, one that gets tucked up into bed with them each night, that goes with them on car journeys, airplanes etc… both my sons have their favourite bears still (aged 22 and soon to be 17) on their beds. They may not play with them as much if at all now, but the memories these characters hold for them is what makes these toys so special to them.
Customers, friends, family should be treated like a valued toy. If we engage with them, make them feel special and valued then you are rewarded with their loyalty in return, and no matter what these valued customers, friends and family will always support you or be with you.
It also taught me about sticking together with people you trust, and working together to solve a problem. You don’t have to be one your own, if you have friends around you, get them to engage also and to provide a solution to the problem, get everyone involved.
Each person in your team or family or friend has a different strength that can be used, so discover what that is and put this to your advantage, to your business advantage. Very few people are leaders, but the ones that are, stand out. Help them to shine and to value themselves, you will be rewarded for doing this.
True leaders are selfless, and great team builders, they do not think just of themselves, they think of their team, the wider masses, they have a way of getting everyone to look at the objectives collectively and to then agree a way to work together to meet them.
I also learned to start being imaginative again, as a child we hold vivid dreams in our minds, we go into minute detail, as an adult reality tends to take over, and some of us may have dreams, but how vivid are they? As kids, when we dreamt of having a new bike, or new toy we imagined playing with it, riding it, what our friends would say etc, and most of the time at christmas or birthday you got your dream. We need to do more of this again as adults, the way in which we think will bring things to us in the same way as when we were children.
Wow, you may say, all this from Toy Story, go see the movie and you will see what I mean….

Drown Out The Noise
Posted by: | Comments
Do you find sometimes you have too much going on in your head? The noise can get quite deafening. Many a times it leads to illness, lack of sleep, short temper, inertia and so one. Inevitably you end up simply not doing anything.
So, what can you do to stop the noise in your head? What can you do to relieve the stresses and strains of too much happening around you? Here are a few ideas which have in the past helped me, and even now I use these to help me focus and get through the noise.
Having too much going on in your head can lead to lack of productivity, which is not good for your creativity or your home business. After all being productive is key to seeing results. So how do you drown out the noise and get your mind to focus.
Well there are a number of methods you could try, I find meditating or listening to calming music or a self development CD helps to drown out the noise and gets me focused. Everyone is different so try and find something that works for you.
To keep focused write down a plan of daily action, I usually find first thing in the morning is a good time to do this. Write out those that were not carried out the day before you need to review to see if they are still required to be carried out.
Keep a note book handy so that you are prepared to quickly capture those one off thoughts. Or if you are like me, record your ideas onto either a mobile phone or a dictaphone as they pop into your head. Nothing is worse than having an idea and not capturing it for later use. We must over a billion ideas in the day, and if we only captured a small percentage of those ideas who knows what may come out of them. Many an entrepreneur or inventor has lost out to others because they had a thought or idea, but did not capture it and so therefore were not able to follow through to take action.
I don’t know about you, but when there is too much going on I find I just STOP take a step back, slow things down and take positive action. How do you manage the noises in your head? Share what works for you by leaving me a comment below.

How Accountable Are You?
Posted by: | CommentsTo be successful in anything in life you have to be accountable. You have to be answerable to you. With accountability comes integrity which are closely connected.
Richard Branson in his book ‘Screw it Let’s Do it!’ talks about the responsibility of success being down to your ultimate ‘why’ or goal, and then having the guts to go out there and achieve it. If you make yourself accountable you command respect, integrity and trust. All key components on being accountable.
When things go wrong, do you tend to blame others or circumstances around you? Then being accountable is not high on your list right now. You have to get over the fact that at times, things are going to not always go your way, but being accountable means taking the flack when things go wrong, it means the buck stops with you, having a no blame culture , being able to look at the situation and working out a way in which you can get around the obstacle or issue with a positive attitude.
Being accountable means being a leader, someone who people look up to, who is in a position to help others without thought or benefit to themselves. It’s about being responsible for your actions, and not putting blame on others or circumstances.
Putting your personal development to the fore also helps with building up your character and your accountability. Personal development identifies where your strengths and weaknesses are as a leader. There are so many books, courses, dvd’s out there than can help you grow in your personal development. There is nothing more important than changing your mindset from where you are now, and developing a mindset of where you want to be. People around you will notice a difference, they will see that you are on a higher level especially if they are not into personal development themselves.
Below is a short video I put together describing what accountability means to me. I hope you find this information useful. Let me know your thoughts and leave me a comment below.

Are You The Democratic Green of the Personality Colors
Posted by: | CommentsAnd finally the Green’s.
Green Personality Traits
Cool laid back relaxed and patient best describes the personality traits of the Green. They are easy to get along with and very informal in their approach. They are social and focus on relationships so can come across as emotional. They are much slower paced in their thinking and are very democratic people. They are very understanding, and agreeable. They say yes, but mean no? The green is the go between for the Red’s and Yellow’s who are much faster paced. They act as the facilitator to conflicts.
Things Green’s Don’t Like:
Don’t be pushy or put them on a spot, Green’s absolutely hate this. Don’t try and dominate the discussion or rush things and they do not like when you decide for them so try to avoid this. Don’t be abrupt, explain in full and do not make wild claims or demands. They can also tell if you are insincere, so try not to be.
How to interact with a Green Personality:
Be friendly and show genuine interest in them, chat before going into business. It is important to develop trust first, be informal and non threatening. However, be alert for non verbal signs of concern, remember they say yes but mean no, but their body language will alay this. If you notice any non verbal signs of concern, uncover their needs with open questions. Allow them to weigh things up for themselves.

Are You A Stickler For Detail?
Posted by: | CommentsBlue Personality Traits
Blues are deep thinkers, analytical in nature, very detail focused and formal in their thinking. They can come across as being aloof, but are deliberate in their approach and systematic, precise and pays attention to detail. They like things in their place, and are very organised with good time management skills. They are sticklers for time and are capable of coming to their own conclusions without having examples of others pushed at them. They take their time in their thinking and are much slower paced than the reds or yellows. Blues can come across as perfectionists due to their logical, systematic, precise and deliberate approach to problems or solutions. Blues like to have all the facts, and then logically put together an answer that is suitable.
Things Blue’s Don’t Like:
Don’t come across as disorganised with a Blue as they are very tidy. Try not to be late as they are sticklers for time keeping. Try not to be flippant or pushy with them. They don’t like vagueness so make sure you have lots of detail and be prepared to have lots of questions thrown at you. Don’t use testimonials or exaggerate claims as they do not fall for this, they are more facts and figures orientated. Don’t be too emotional as they cannot handle emotions.
How to interact with a Blue Personality:
Be well prepared when dealing with a Blue personality, get into detail as they love to get all the facts in their mind. Be factual, specific and logical with your approach. Listening is important to a Blue so listen carefully to what they have to say, as they verbalise their thoughts through questioning thoroughly. Give them time to respond as they are slower paced thinkers. Be formal in your approach as they are very business like.
