Habits Can Help Or Hinder You

I want to look at habits today, because so often when I help people who want to change and lose weight, they fall back on old habits of eating or not exercising.  

I have been reading up on habits recently.

One definition of a habit is this; 

A recurrent, often unconscious pattern of behavior that is acquired through frequent repetition

I wanted to highlight the FREQUENT REPITITION

Whatever self talk you say to yourself, what ever you believe to be true about you, can all be changed through self talk and repetition. 

Did you get that?  Read that line above again!

 

How  Habits Can Hinder You

I know when self doubt or FEAR creeps in, you forget all your fancy affirmations and just revert to what you been telling yourself for years right?  Well it is time to recognise and shake this bad habit off. 

Bad habits can lead to procrastination, putting things off, being known as unreliable, will proceed your reputation.

Will stop you from moving forward and achieving your full potential or your dreams. 

Think about it and carefully make a plan on how you can turn these bad habits into good ones.
We all have different goals to achieve and bad habits to break. List down the bad habits that you think can be a problem when you start your action plans.

If you have a bad habit that stops you from moving forward in your life, then work on letting it go. 

Developing a good habit can set you up for so much more in your life.  

Create a new one.  21 days they say it takes to create a habit.  So if you can create positive affirmations to say to yourself for the next 21 days, you will definitely see your life turn around.

Take Back Your Power

Today I want to talk about taking back your power. What do I mean?

If you have felt that you are not being heard, not being listened to, being undermined by others, you do not hold your power within you.Instead you are letting them hold the power over you.

If you have spent your years looking after children, looking after the family and neglecting yourself, your ideas, your dreams you may find it difficult to express those dreams and ideas, feeling unable to assert them in a positive and beneficial way to your partner or friends.

As women, we go through so much in life, without realising our strengths. Times of lack, times of stress, times of pain, times of worry. We are the linchpin in most cases for a stable family home, or keeping some kind of sanity in the home especially for our children. We give them hope, courage, support. Even when we do not get this ourselves. Some of us are natural born nurturers others have to learn how to nurture. Most of us are compassionate and empathetic towards others. These are huge strengths.

It is only when you go through tough times, times of struggles that you realise, when you come out the other end how strong you really are. Real Women support each other, sisters support each other, find your tribe who will support you.

So what can you do to gain confidence!

It is not easy as a woman to build your confidence, you do need someone or others behind you to help build you up. Self help, self development books and videos and networking meetings are a great source of growing your confidence.

Share your story with like-minded people, there will be others out there with a similar story who you will attract. It’s important to find your tribe.

What is the tribe?

According to Collins dictionary The definition of a tribe is a group of people, or a community with similar values or interests, a group with a common ancestor, or a common leader.

For those that can relate to you, and you to them the relationship will yield great results.

So go out there and find someone who resonates with you, your values, and how you would like to be. Follow them on whatever platform they are on. Get in touch with them and asked them to Mentor you. Don’t be afraid, they were once in your position.
