We all need a good cleanse and detox every now and then. If you live in the city, if you are stressed, if you are overweight, if you are on medication then detoxing is a great way to get rid of those toxins that are stopping you absorbing and getting full efficiency of your vitamins from the food that you eat.
We all know that food can be your medicine, it can also be your poison.
Choosing to eat healthy means making a life style change and being conscious of the choices and the food that we put into our mouths. Doesn’t mean we can’t have treats once in a while, it’s about being mindful of the food you are eating and whether it adds value to your body or not.
Sugar is added to almost everything, and as you know sugar is not good for you on a long-term basis, so it’s about checking the labels of snacks, cakes, drinks you eat. If however you cook from fresh, then you know exactly what you are putting in your mouth and your body. #JustSaying

What you can eat

Vegetables that you can eat raw as well as steamed for one week
Four different types of fruit
You can eat as much of the following – Fish, sea food, chicken, turkey, Quorn.
If you want something sweet you can have dark chocolate, yoghurt, home made desserts from fruit (apple crumble made with oats allowed) and fromage frais, or natural yoghurt instead of cream.
What you cannot eat for the next five days.
- No red meat starting Monday
- No white bread or brown bread
- No rice
- No nuts
- No fizzy drinks
- No milk chocolate
Prepping starts Sunday so keep an eye out….
